Ranolia Hydropower project 17 MW is located along Ranolia Khwar at the tributary of Dubair Khwar. The hydropower plant is being constructed near Dubair Bazar on the right bank of Dubair Khwar upstream of its confluence with the Indus River. Dubair Bazar is about 20 km north of Besham along the main Karakoram Highway (KKH). 

The Complex consists of 2 Nos. Pelton (2 x 8.5MW) and 2 Nos. Generators having Rated capacity (8.5MV x 2, Power Factor 0.8). 

• Certificate of Readiness. 
• Certificate of Readiness for Synchronization. 
• An Overall/ Comprehensive Certificate regarding Commissioning of the Complex 
• Capacity Test Certificate. 
• Certificate to the effect that based upon its monitoring and review of construction, the construction of the complex has been carried out in all material respect in compliance with the terms of Power Purchase Agreement. 
• Verification of the calibration results of Water Meters and Power Output (MW & MVAR) meters installed on individual Generator’s Cabinet. 
• Witness the installation and calibration of the Metering System and the Back-up Metering System and certification of the results. 

Witnessing & verification or otherwise of the various parameters of the Manufacturer’s Curves (Power Output (MW) vs Discharge (mᶟ/sec)) for individual Units and for the Complex as well as of Generator Capability Curve (MW vs MVAR) against different loading positions.
